JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) &#8212; Mosaic Life Care is offering free prostate cancer screenings this September, emphasizing that early detection is one of the most crucial steps toward getting cancer-free.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For men 50 years and older, it is highly encouraged to participate in prostate cancer screenings, as one in eight men in the United States are diagnosed with prostate cancer. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, it is highly treatable, making screening an important part of preventative health care.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Andr\u00e9 Arsenault, a medical oncologist with Mosaic Cancer Care, stressed the importance of awareness and screening. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Around 1.4 million people are diagnosed with it each year,&#8221; Arsenault said. &#8220;It definitely is a very common cancer. There probably doesn&#8217;t go a day by that I don&#8217;t see a patient with prostate cancer in my clinic.
