(KQTV) &#8212; The Holt County Sheriff&#8217;s Office arrested a Maitland, Missouri, man on a warrant for two charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Derrick L. Kernen, 38, was charged with statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy- deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old \u2014 and second-degree child molestation for an aggravated sexual offense with a child less than 17 years old and older than four years old. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Sheriff&#8217;s Office arrested Kernen on Sept. 10; he is currently being held in the Andrew County Jail with no bond.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courts.mo.gov\/fv\/c\/KERNENPROBABLECAUSESTATEMENTRedactedRedacted.PDF?courtCode=04&amp;di=1289367\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.courts.mo.gov\/fv\/c\/KERNENPROBABLECAUSESTATEMENTRedactedRedacted.PDF?courtCode=04&amp;di=1289367\">a probable cause statement<\/a>, a June interview at Voices of Courage detailed that the juvenile victim described Kernen subjecting the child to sexual activities on multiple occasions at their Maitland home. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kernen&#8217;s arraignment was held on Sept. 11.
