‘Nodaway Says No’ Town Hall to discuss White Cloud Acres Data Center

MARYVILLE, Mo. (KQTV) — An informational Town Hall will be held at the Maryville Community Center to discuss the White Cloud Acres Data Center Project, White Cloud Generating LLC Project and the proposed White Cloud Township Zoning.
The town hall will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12.
A question-and-answer session will be held with the current information.
Nodaway County Commissioners and representatives from the Nodaway County Economic Development, Nodaway County Assessor, the City of Maryville, Nodaway 1 Water and South Nodaway Schools have been invited to participate.
Nodaway Says No, an organization led by a multi-generational base of farmers, mothers, teachers, business leaders and lifelong locals with deep ties to the community, is organizing to stop AI data centers.
The group said the event is free and open to the public.
“Everyone deserves an opportunity to hear the latest developments, understand what is being proposed, ask questions and share concerns during the moratorium period,” the group said in a news release.
