Mahomes ready for another battle with Crosby, Raiders

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) — The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a 3-0 start this year, but now Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will face a familiar foe on Sunday.

Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders will welcome the Chiefs on Oct. 4. Both teams are 3-0, and the winner of this game will be on top of the AFC West division.

In the past, Mahomes and Crosby have spoken about the respect for one another, but Crosby this week is focused on the game ahead.

“He knows what it is; it’s war,” said Crosby. “There’s no other words needed. It’s as simple as that, and I can’t wait.”

Mahomes spoke to the media on Wednesday and acknowledged the matchup ahead with Crosby.

“He’s one of the best competitors in the league,” said Mahomes. “I think that’s where the respect comes from. We want to be the best on the field when we’re out there. I just know when I step on that football field, I’m going to need my best.”

Kickoff in Las Vegas on Sunday is set for 3:25 p.m. Central Time.
